Ben Kerswell is the 2016 John R. Rodland Memorial Scholarship recipient and a senior organ performance major at St. Olaf College. Before studying with Catherine Rodland, Ben studied organ with Joanne Rodland and piano with Elizabeth Martyn. He is an active recitalist and has performed in Iowa City, St. Paul, Minn., New York City, and Ridgewood, N.J. A member of the St. Olaf Choir, he has held organist positions at Pompton Valley Presbyterian Church in New Jersey, Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Pequannock, N.J., and All Saints Episcopal Church in Northfield, Minn. He now serves as the organ scholar at the Church of St. Louis, King of France in St. Paul, Minn.
