Douglas Murray, Professor of English, Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee. He is author of articles on 18th-century fiction and edited (with Margaret Anne Doody) Austen's Catharine and Other Writings (Oxford World's Classics). He studied organ with Stanley Scheer at Pfeiffer University in his native North Carolina and attended improvisation workshops with William Porter, Jeffrey Brillhart, Gerre Hancock, Rick Erickson and Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra. He is organist at Second Presbyterian Church, Nashville. He participated in NCOI 2012 and 2014, in which he placed third and second.
