From Accompanist to Conductor in 90 Minutes - Part II
Janette Fishell
Crown Center Sheraton Hotel - CHICAGO A
How many hats do you wear on a Sunday morning? If you are an organist, you most certainly are an accompanist and soloist, and quite possibly a conductor, if only when your Director gets the flu on Saturday night. This class provides inspiration and information in equal measure to organist who seek a refresher course in accompanying basics (i.e. registration, score adaption, musical style, and the techniques required to bring that style to life) and console conduction for the intimidated. Designed as a two-session presentation that moves from accompanying to console conduction, each hour can stand alone, so feel free to attend only one if that meets your primary goal.
