Has your chapter been hesitant to apply to host a regional convention because it seems too daunting or because of a perception it is too small? Come to this interactive workshop, which is offered to allay these and other worries. You’ll learn from and be able to ask questions of two members of the AGO’s Committee for Conventions; two who coordinated successful regional conventions within the past five years. In this brainstorming “boot camp” we will discuss how to create a compelling program, build a convention team, and enter into an agreement with a hotel, along with ideas for fundraising and marketing. Your chapter CAN do it and can reap tremendous reward in its reputation and its finances.
