Hymn Festival: The Peaceable Kingdom

"The Peaceable Kingdom"

Our convention Hymn Festival will focus on Isaiah's Dream 11:6-9, “And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child will lead them (v.6).” The service will be divided into seven sections: Sing Praise, Sing Care, Sing Welcome, Sing Justice, Sing Freedom, Sing Hope, and Sing Peace and with timely texts sung by the audience and thoughtful anthems by the choir.

The AGO joins with The Hymn Society in the U.S. and Canada in this vision regarding the transformative power of congregational song: The holy act of singing together shapes faith, heals brokenness, transforms lives, and renews peace.
